Skipping Forward / Backwards vs. Plex

Hi,

I have recently bought an ATV and really love Infuse interface. I was using Plex (experimental player) prior to this. I was doing a quick comparison between Plex and infuse skipping forward of backwards and found that with Plex, it is nearly instantaneous but Infuse is always 1/2 sec to a second lag. Why is this?

Note that I am streaming my video wirelessly but doesn’t explain why plex can achieve this seamlessly.

Also with Infuse, there seem to be also a lag when finishing watching a show to mark it as watched on my plex media server. Sometimes, I ended watching a show twice only to notice I have watched it, a minute or two into it.

We’re revamping a number of things in the playback core for the upcoming 6.0 release, and expect seeking will be quite a bit faster. The improvments will be especially noticeable on slower networks.
