I wasn’t commenting on your specific situation. I’m just saying, 99.999999% of Apple TV users who would like to have Dolby TrueHD with Atmos want it for ripped Blu-rays. If you need it as a producer of Atmos music, how big is the market for that?

I switched from projectors (which I’ve had since the mid 2000s) to an 86 inch TV and will never go back. I neither want to darken the room nor do I want to have to wait until sunset at 10pm in the summer to watch a movie. The only thing I miss is the larger than 120 inch picture size.

BTW I also have another box (in addition to my 2 Apple TV 4k units) that supports Dolby TrueHD with Atmos. After understanding the technology I came to the conclusion that Apple won’t support TrueHD in the foreseeable future.

Everyone has different interest and situations.
And the market for 3d music ist very large
