Hi i have just borrowed an atv2 from a friend that never used it. It is on 4.2.1 firmware.
I would like to jailbreak it and use Plex and XMBC, so i guess that 4.4.4 would be the best fimrware version.
I have no idea how to do this, cause all the guides i can find seems to jailbreak the atv2 into the newest firmware version 5.0.
So could someone please guide me in the right direction.
I have acces to both window and mac computer.

You cannot go to 4.4.4 because that apple tv has never been on that firmware so your choices are 4.2.1,4.4.2, or 5.0
That makes sense. What firmware would you guys recommend then? Plex, Netflix and rentals in itunes are what i will need it for.
Keep it on 4.2.1 it’s untethered
