I have a lot of home videos for which I have created local metadata with TMM and treated as movies. Now if I turn smart group on, every video is grouped together even though they have completely different file names. If I turn smart group off, everything seems ok until I play one of the videos and stop in the middle; every video then has the same progress as the video that has been played. It is like they are still linked even though they appear separately. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Could you show a screen cap of the directory structure and file names along with the nfo file names?
If these are home videos, you may want to avoid having Infuse match these to titles on TMDB.
You can do this by tagging a folder to use local metadata only. More info in this guide.
