OK just got my ATV2 and ready to install aTV Flash but read that the ATV2 wont accept a HD through the USB port. Is this true? Or will intalling aTV Flash allow an external drive with content? I’ve read both yes and no. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

aTV Flash allows you to use an SMB share to access files remotely. As Ormantron stated the USB isn’t meant to connect an external drive to.
You could however connect a computer to the Apple TV using a cross over and a bridged connection to share (which would be quicker than WiFi but you would lose WiFiaccess as only one connection is usable at a time).
