XBMC Crash on launch

My XBMC has two issues, probably related.  XBMC appears to have installed correctly by the wall of text that goes by when you install it.  However the icon for it does not appear correctly on the home screen of the AppleTV 2.  The space for the icon is there and it says “XBMC” under where the icon would be but the actual space is blank.

I can select the “blank” space and it takes me to a window where it lists XBMC to launch.  When I select that there is a pause and then it soft reboots.  I have uninstalled XBMC and reinstalled it and got the same results.

AppleTV2 running iOS 5 and as far as I know the latest aTV.

yep, same for me.

I went through and re-updated everything via:

Maintenance > manage extras

And it seems to be working now.

apt-get update
mkdir -p /Applications/AppleTV.app/Appliances
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
mkdir -p /Applications/XBMC.frappliance
wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14341410/org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2_11.0-3_iphoneos-arm.deb
dpkg -i org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2_11.0-3_iphoneos-arm.deb
rm org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2_11.0-3_iphoneos-arm.deb
