Wrong metadata movie

Well, this is the metadata of Tron: Ares (2025)

A very strange Korean TV show. I’ve added the suffix {tmdb-533533} to my mkv file name, but nothing changes.

So this is a bug or something else?

Can you provide how you have the file named?

Of course.

Tron.Ares.2025.1080p.BluRay.DD5.1x264 {tmdb-533533}.mkv

Same result when remove or add suffix with id

Try placing a space or “.” between the 1 and the x in the file name and then do an edit metadata and select the correct choice.

Still can’t understand why :joy:

Great! Glad it’s working.

Infuse does have a format it sees as a TV show using 1xXX as the season/episode value so it saw this in your file name and thought it was a TV show and the one it picked was as close as it could find in TMDB with season 1 and episode 264. The added space made Infuse ID it as a movie and then found the correct info.

Very interesting!

But in my opinion, you should change the format to read file name. I think any directors can use this structure for their movies. For example, there’s really a movie named 1x1.

Well, maybe we need a stronger rule

That example would probably be fine since the 1x1 is before the year. There have been a few cases of misinterpretation but the current rules are pretty spot on. I’d guess that by changing things it could easily confuse the API that TMDB provides and then we’d see more mismatches.

Anyway, glad this worked and let us know if you have any other oddities! :+1:
