Yes, currently Infuse does not care about the region in the language code, and hopes to improve it in the next version

This is still not working for me. Infuse is still unable to distinguish between pt-PT and pt-BR on TMDB. Still fetching the first poster on the general Portuguese instead of choosing the pt-PT in my case.
