Wrong Date on all videos

I have two shares added on my infuse setup. All the files from one share pick up the metadata correctly. However all the files from the second share have problems. Infuse picks the correct show, pulls the right artwork and description, but for some reason the date on all the videos defaults to Jan 1 of whatever year the show aired.

Share 2:

Are you using strictly Infuse or a server like Plex, Emby or Jellyfin?

Also if Infuse only, what protocol for each share? SMB, FTP DLNA, UPnP etc.

Both servers are truenas servers connected via smb to infuse.
The first server is a read only account.
The second server is read/write account. Jellyfin is also connected to the second server although I don’t know how that would effect things.

So I discovered the second server has .nfo files for all videos, when I removed one of the nfo files that one video picked up the correct air date. Is there a way to make infuse ignore nfo files?

On a somewhat related note. When I have two copies of a movie, they get grouped together, but TV episodes get shown twice, is there a way around that?

Move them out of the directory of that video. Usually when people include nfo files it’s because they don’t want the metadata that was downloaded so Infuse takes the nfo file as what is wanted.

Unfortunately TV shows do not support grouping

Add your support to this suggestion to do that.
