Windows Flash Drive Solution

If you’re having problems getting a flash drive to work from a Windows install, try changing the drive letter of your flash drive. I wasted 2 hours trying to get the installer to work and I realized the flash drive was not formatting properly and not copying the software as needed for the “upgrade.”

Anyway, try changing the drive letter by doing this:

  • Go to Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Computer Management
  • Select “Disk Management” then find your Flash Drive in the lower right hand pane
  • Right click the primary partion and select “Change Drive Letter and Paths”
  • Choose some other letter, like W - that worked for me
  • Run the installer again and see what happens - I hope it works for you

Next, send a message to ATV: http://www.atvflash.com/contact.php
and ask them to do a better job testing their product before releasing it or lower the price
