I ran into a weird window resizing issue and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or knows a workaround.
Everything was working fine initially with normal window dimensions. However, after watching The Hateful Eight (which uses an ultra-wide 2.76:1 aspect ratio), the UI window somehow resized to this narrow view globally and now seems permanently locked into that aspect ratio.
Even after quitting the app, restarting, or switching back to standard 16:9 media, the window remains stuck in this narrow shape.
Has anyone come across this issue before or found a way to manually reset the window frame bounds?
I’m currently on visionOS 27, Infuse 8.5.5 (5752), but the issue existed in previous visionOS and Infuse versions, started about a month ago.
No it doesn’t fix itself if I close it or even force-quit it in the background. I haven’t tried uninstalling & reinstalling since I have more ultra-wide films to watch, and it’s likely going to appear anyway if not fixed.
A feature that may solve the issue is window shape control, like many other apps on visionOS have, where u can pinch the corner and drag the window into any rectangular shape u want; or the option to pick from a few fixed window aspect ratios in settings.
