Will infuse support dolby vision?

I tried several videos with dolby vision resulting in black screen with audio only.
If theres no plan of supporting dv, is it possible to just export video in the normal hdr10 format in the future?

This has been on our radar, but the feedback we have received so far from Dolby seem to indicate the Apple TV does not support dual-layer DV video at this time. Dual-layer DV is what is used for UHD Blu-ray titles, and is an example of the most practical real-world use case for DV in an app like Infuse. However, dual track DV is backwards compatible with HDR10 - so when these are played in Infuse it will gracefully fallback to HDR10 without any fuss.

There is also a single-layer DV variant, though this is typically used in streaming applications and AFAIK isn’t available for local libraries.

Though I’m curious, what type of files do you have? Would you be able/willing to send in a sample we could review here?

It seems that this is more like a single video track file with DV rather than a double track one.

Thanks!

Hi, I got a few 1:1 iso from UHD 4K Dolby Vision discs, as Gladiator, Save Private Ryan etc. Played in infuse pro on APTV 4K latest firmware 11.4
They open and play very smooth but no Dolby Vision, only HDR.
Any hope to have DV from your excellent app?
Thank you

No.

Unfortunately Tim is correct.

The Apple TV does not support dual-layer DV, and per our conversations with Dolby there is no way to add it at this time.

Sorry.

Thank you
