Hi, I’ve noticed that Infuse seems to not zoom as much as it could before content is obstructed by the notch/screen rounding/etc. Can’t confirm on other devices, but it’s very apparent on my iPhone 13 Pro. Other apps like Netflix and Outplayer don’t have this issue and zoom right up to the notch.
I’ve got a theory as to why this is. I read here that content is zoomed to fit into the safe area which includes rounded screen corners, and I think this is resulting in content being cropped too small (this also occurs in the official Plex app).
Here’s what it looks like in Infuse (and notice the content is zoomed right up until the screen starts rounding - but the rounding wouldn’t obstruct the content since there’s nothing there):
And here’s how Netflix, Outplayer, possibly other apps handle it, the content goes right up to the notch:
I also noticed you could zoom even further if you’re willing to go off-centre and zoom to the right (but this is beside the point and probably would annoy some people if it was excessively skewed to the right):
(even more zoomed)
I might be totally off on my reasoning, but figured I’d mention it on the off chance I’m right. Regardless of the cause, I’d love to see this be resolved. Seeing wasted space hurts my soul.
