Any particular reason the iOS 9 update doesn’t seem to have PiP support? I was looking forward to that on iPad with a more general media player.
Unfortunately, Apple limits what can be displayed in the small PIP screen to the native video player. This would severely limit the videos Infuse could display so it wouldn’t be all that useful and would likely cause more confusion than anything.
We’re keeping an eye on it, and if things change in the future we’ll definitely work to implement this in Infuse.
Unfortunate, though I guess the reasoning then is to keep CPU usage minimal for the video player as it’s almost all in hardware.
This is no longer true since Plex, for example, already has this feature.
Plex uses the native video player.
