as the subject says. I was wondering why no version past 5.3 has been jailbroken yet?
is there something that's blocking it or is it just that no one cares about jailbreaking it anymore?
(the main reason i ask is because the netflix app in 5.3 doesn't support profiles & i'd rather not have to update and lose aTV Flash just for that feature)

[/quote] The reason is that firmware releases later than 5.3 are based on iOS7 (and shortly iOS8), and apparently the jailbreaks that have so far been found for other iOS 7 based devices (iPhone, iPad) are not applicable to the ATV2.
Whether there ever will be a jailbreak for a later firmware release is not at all clear. I am not even sure if any of the jailbreak community are actively working on trying to find an applicable jailbreak for ATV devices. It is worth pointing out that FireCore themselves do not actually discover suitable jailbreaks - they just package the ones found by others up in SeasonPass to try and make them easier to use.
