So I've got an Apple TV 2nd generation and its been jailbroken for a long time now. I primarily use it for XBMC but also use all of its native features as well. Somehow, the Native Netflix app no longer works. It always says Netflix is unavailable, but my account is in good standing and I can access Netflix content from any number of other devices.
I have tried everything, read dozens of threads, all to no avail. I have to restore to get Netflix back which is really important.
So what's the process? Do I restore to 5.2.1 via iTunes and then jailbreak? I can't do a tethered jailbreak, it just won't work for me. It needs to be an untethered one like I have now with my old 4.3 install.
I don't have blobs saved for 5.2, which, as far as I can tell, is the most recent version you can perform an untethered jailbreak on. Is there any way to restore it to 5.2 without my own device's shsh blobs for 5.2 backed up?
Or since its already on a jailbroken 4.3 do I need to restore to a clean 4.3 and upgrade from there? I am pretty sure I have those blobs saved on another machine. Is 4.3 my only option for an untethered jailbreak at this point?
Are there any other options? Is there a solid Netflix plugin for XBMC?
