What is this “it” you refer to?
Until Apple allows developers to access the ability to pass through audio over HDMI (otherwise known as Bitstream), it won’t happen anytime soon.
The support you want requires Apple to make changes on their end to enable bitstreaming. So far Apple hasn’t made any indications that it will do this.
