What is this all about?

Hello,

I wonder what this is all about…?!
NOTHING… I mean really NOTHING is working…!

I was able to install atvflash… I was able to install and update 100+ applications… I was able to access 1000+ settings… and that’s it…!

No network drive access (afp is not working)… no application is working properly… no guide available. The only thing that seems to work is the restart of atv.

This seems to me like a pice of hacker-crap…!!!

50$ for nothing… great…!!!

The last thing I want to know about it, is how to uninstall it.

If all you want to do is uninstall it, go to your ATV General section and restore the factory defaults. Bingo, Instant removal. Then just ask for a refund, or charge back against the billing.

Hi
i have exactly same problems.

It seemed to me after trawling the net that most of the stuff you get with aTV Flash is freely available on the net.

The reason i went with aTV Flash was the big statement saying no need for any programming knowledge, no need to be an IT expert etc plus loads of support!!!

All installed…nothing works…and no response from the aTV Support lines!!!

I realise things sometimes do go wrong but when you promise support for your product and don’t give it then maybe its time to get a refund.

Can anyone tell me the process to get the program fee back please??

Rgds
Kev

The first thing I’d do is try and get a refund by requesting it here:

If that doesn’t work, call up your bank and issue a Chargeback. It’s easy: just call them, give them the amount and the day you purchased so they can find the charge, then tell them to reverse it.

It sounds like you may have aTV Flash 4.0 installed on a system running AppleTV 3.0.1.

Can you double-check the AppleTV and aTV Flash version your currently have installed?

The AppleTV version can be seen in Settings > General > About.

The aTV Flash version can be seen in Maintenance > About.

Having the same problems here. Bought this thing with the hopes that it would set my Apple TV free and let me use it like it should have been possible from the start… But alas - nothing is working; no USB drive access, no network access (some weird AFP error) and XBMC worked for about an hour until I updated the XBMC launcher after which is disappeared from the menu. Great software… NOT! What a complete waste of money.

Please send us an email and we can help resolve your issues.

I’ve been working on this AFP issue for hours.

Only read good things about this company, they must be trying to catch up after Apples. 3.0-3.01 upgrade melt down.

Hope ATV gets back in charge soon.

By default the AppleTV will attempt to connect via the AFP protocol, however most newer AppleTV units will not support this protocol. The SMB protocol can be used in its place by setting up a ‘Manual Share Point’. We have a guide for setting this up at the link below.

If you’re having trouble setting up the share point, let us know and we can help walk you through it.

Note: If you think you have an older AppleTV (purchased prior to October 2007) AFP can be enabled here: http://wiki.atvflash.com/index.php?title=Enable_AFP

aTV Flash works fine for me! Worth the $50 for one year subscription. Cann’t wait for BlueRay support via XBMC & CrystalHD card to drop in!
Of course, then I’ll be asking for wireless dongle support :?
