I logged into my Apple Account to renew my Infuse Pro plan and now I’m confused by the options. There are two monthly plans for the same price and two Pro plans for very different prices. And there is no way to determine what the differences are. What a terrible interface.
Also the lifetime plan is missing. Is it no longer an option?
Can anyone explain to me what the differences are between these and why there are two very different prices for the yearly plan?
All pro plans are the same in terms of functionality. So if it allows you to choose the cheaper yearly plan then I would go for that. But maybe you already have the lifetime and that’s why it’s not showing up? Can’t really help you much be on that, sorry.
I know from previous queries about the lifetime licenses that the lifetime is not a subscription but a purchase, so it does not appear in the list of possible subscriptions.
When buying a lifetime license, you need to remember to cancel any subscription as they are handled separately.
About the different prices for the subscription, I can hazard a guess (and it is only a guess) …
When you take out a subscription the ongoing renewal price is fixed at the price you started the subscription.
When you start a new subscription it will start at the current subscription price.
Therefore the cheaper subscription is being offered to you because that was the price when you originally started your subscription. The higher price is the price of a new subscription.
So you really don’t want to let your current subscription expire because then you have to start a new one at the higher price.
I think you’re correct that it’s showing the old subscription prices for previous times I’ve subscribed. It’s not a helpful interface. Apple should provide more meaning and context but minimalism seems to be their preferred aesthetic these days.
