What does the 'bookmark' icon for 'updating watching list' actually do?

I googled it and searched on here but am not sure what this little icon does. When I press it, it says ‘updating watching list’…but not sure what this means…does pressing it and ‘colouring it in’ mean that it is ‘watched’ or not watched. I was confused. It didn’t seem to affect the ‘watching’ row in the home screen. For example, I ‘bookmarked’ a movie and it didn’t show up in the ‘watching’ row. Also, I tried doing that with a show that was already in the home ‘watching’ row, but it didn’t move out of there. So I’m a little perplexed.

Additionally, I have 3 shares and only 2 of them show this bookmark option. Is this turned on by each server then?

For Infuse library items, it will allow you to manually add or remove items from Infuse’s ‘Watching’ list (the list that appears in the top row of the Home Screen).

For Plex shares (Direct Mode), it will add or remove the item from Plex’s ‘Watchlist’.

It is not used for Emby and Jellyfin (Direct Mode) at this time.

Plex’s ‘Watchlist’. Do you mean the top row that says ‘watching’ in Infuse? Because bookmarking this does not add it to the row. Nor does removing the bookmark make a show disappear from this row. Am I missing something?

Plex has a separate list called ‘Watchlist’.

The ability to add/remove from Plex’s Continue Watching is something which will be added in a future update.
