What are some iCloud sync improvements planned for `8.1.6`?

Continuing the discussion from Upcoming Features (updated 4/25/25):

I’ve tried to piece together what these improvements might entail from browsing the forum and reading new-ish discussions or issues around iCloud sync, but I was hoping to learn a bit more about this. Does anyone have an idea of what improvements might get introduced?

I vaguely recall reading something about the naming convention of the app within iCloud’s app listing (not sure the right nomenclature for this), where someone would see “Infuse Pro 6,” and a future change will simply read “Infuse” or something along those lines.

Anyone else aware of some of the planned improvements? Anyone have links to notable discussions that got flagged as part of this body of work?

I’m mostly just curious, and always looking for ways to tighten up my Apple ecosystem usage.

We’re touching almost every aspect of iCloud Sync and optimizing things for speed and performance.

The new changes will also optimize how much space is used in iCloud - which could be helpful for those on free iCloud plans.

Below is a comparison of the iCloud space used for the same library.

  • Infuse Pro 6 = old
  • Infuse = new
