“Watchlist” alternatives for Jellyfin/Emby

Currently I use Infuse to access very large Jellyfin/Emby servers - both in direct mode. Recently I was using Plex but this is no longer available.

Both of these servers are shared with multiple other people.

I have not found a reliable way to either few any kind of “Favourites” list from either Jellyfin or Emby, in Infuse.

I’m able to create a Playlist for the Emby server but I have no way to manage it in Infuse.

Is there anyway around this? I don’t even mind not being able to add/delete to the list in Infuse, but viewing it would be nice.

Perhaps even if we could find a way to view/edit Trakt watch lists in Infuse? Obviously there is already a level of integration with this service as it stands.

jellyfin and emby have a favourites section built-in

Yes but I cannot get them to display on the homepage of Infuse.

(Again, maybe this is a thing with Direct Mode).

I also find the Continue Watching part “loses” the shows I’ve been watching in Jellyfin.

in jellyfin/emby, “continue watching” is solely for items that you have partially watched (ie watched 20 mins of a 40 min episode).

it’s not the same as “up next” which is what shows the next unwatched episode of a show.

plex uses a combined continue watching/up next list, but jellyfin/emby has them split out.

infuse will only display the “continue watching” list by default. this has been brought up numerous times for the infuse dev to fix, but it falls on deaf ears. depending on the client device you are using you may see “up next” or you might not. in iOS it looks to be OK, but on tvOS it’s a problem.

I am a bit concerned that it’s falling on deaf ears - it seems that of late the focus has moved to different markets and they’ve kind of abandoned the people that have been supporting them since the beginning.

i do wonder how many people clicked “like” on the thread where someone suggested adding streamlinks and support for cloud storage, as those seem to have been the focus over the past 2 or 3 beta releases.
