VPN + Squid = awesome. How do I get squid to start from boot?

With OpenVPN (tunnelblick) and Squid installed, I am able to use my PS3 for streaming Netflix internationally (awesome!).  It is also a good proxy for me to point any other computer/device to force it through the VPN tunnel with a US IP as well.  I took the squid from inside Squidman, and copied it over to the AppleTV in /usr/local/squid/sbin/squid and copied the squid.conf to files to /Users/frontrow/Library/Preferences

I can run squid via the shell:

/usr/local/squid/sbin/squid -f /Users/frontrow/Library/Preferences/squid.conf

My only issue is that I can’t run it from startup in case I want to reboot the AppleTV.   I tried forcing it to run on boot by putting it in rc.local but it seems that it won’t execute on startup.  Can someone give me some advice on getting it to execute at boot time?
