Viewing as Folders and Playing Video_TS Files

I have a set of folders called “Movies” “TV Shows” and “Music Videos”. The last one, for some reason got at some point disconfigured. I now cannot get the “Music Videos” folder to show me the folders I have insideit. Rather, it shows me thumbnails and the sort order offered is not really useful to me. Also, I used to be able to play DVD folders (VIDEO_TS) before, now I click on them on the Apple TV and get a “no content” inside them.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

To maintain your folders you may want to try turning off “Smart Folders”.

It may also help with the video ts files.

Thanks for your response! I see the instructions refer to SMB which I am currently not using. I am using Plex and Emby. I went into the Edit Share section of both and did not find a “Smart Folders” option. I did find “Smart Groups” under the General Infuse section but I assume that is unrelated. Do I have to use SMB in order to see the “Smart Groups” option?

Sorry I don’t use Plex or any other server. Usually when you’re seeing anomalies and you’re using Plex or Emby it’s due to the settings you have on those apps.

Also it may depend on if you’re using the direct mode or library mode. There’s a run down on this here.

Plex does not currently support disk image files like VIDEO_TS so it will not make them available to Infuse. :frowning:

Connecting directly to the source device via SMB, NFS, FTP, or WebDAV would allow you to access these files.

Thanks evyerone, SMB solved it! Got rid of Plex.
