View and select audio/subtitle tracks on video details page

Indeed a good idea!

I would really like this. It would also help in seeing what is actually available when starting a movie.

Is there subtitles? And in what language? What audio tracks are available? Commentaries?

Currently the pre-playback screen is very focused on being only for English speakers, which is not very helpful. When you are not native English and have kids or just sub-par English capabilities, you always have to start a movie before you can see wether they can actually enjoy it properly.

Hi
I wish Infuse had a ā€˜More info’ button for each movie like on plex. When watching on apple TV, on Plex, when clicking on this ā€˜More info’ button (without playing the movie), I can see information like how many subtitle languages the movie has, how many audio languages… For Infuse, I have to play the movie, wait for it to load, then swipe down to see more information, which is very time-consuming
Thank you

This is a must-have feature for an app like Infuse… Please Firecore team, make this finally happen!

Years have gone by and this basic but so useful feature remains unplanned… Why is that? I’m sick of having to keep pausing the movie/show to check if the audio and subtitles are correct when that’s something that should be done on the details page before pressing play!

Can you add a button to the menu that allows us to choose the Audio and Subtitle languages before we start a movie?

This is such a basic and necessary feature that I don’t understand how it doesn’t exist in Infuse. This topic is 7 years old… Please Firecore, add this feature to Infuse!

It would really be convenient.

Any movement on this?

Apparently not… Which is a shame because I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: this is such a basic feature for an app like Infuse that I don’t understand why it doesn’t exist and there doesn’t seem to be much will on the part FirecoreĀ“s team to implement it.

2nd this. also there seem to be a problem with the subtitles in general, from my short experience with the app infuse randomly switches either the whole language or the type of subs (for example from regular English to English SDH)

With external audio track support planned for version 8.4, hopefully this isn’t far behind.

I’d also suggest, contrary to some other posts in this thread, that when this is implemented, the selection UI shouldn’t be hidden away in an overflow menu, but shown prominently on the pre-playback screen. Otherwise, issues like the incorrect subtitle selection mentioned by @m1et, or cases where playback defaults to a commentary track instead of the main audio (as mentioned here), may only become apparent after playback has already started.

Hello,

First of all, thank you for the great work on Infuse. It’s an excellent app and I use it a lot to watch my movies.

I would like to ask if it would be possible to add a feature that shows the available audio languages (and possibly subtitles) before starting the movie. For example, when selecting a film in the library, it would be very useful to immediately see which languages are available without having to start playback.

This would make choosing the right version of a movie much easier.

Thank you for considering this suggestion and for your continued work on the app.

Best regards

I can’t believe this is still not available… Infuse is amazing but having to press pause after the movie beguins to check the audio and subs is ridiculous. We should be able to do that from the details page. This is such a basic feature…

any chance of taking care of this in one of the future releases? it’s really problematic to change the language on every episode for some shows

The initiative was created 8 years ago and there is still no response as to whether the initiative is relevant to Firecore.
