Probably wrong category but…

Vietnam in HD
Can not get this show to be listed in Infuse.

Directory Vietnam in HD
Directory Season 1
Files S01E01. MKV
S01E02. MKV
S01E03. MKV
S01E04. MKV
S01E05. MKV
S01E06. MKV

Infuse will not find it, won’t even put it in the Others listing.

If I copy all the files to the root directory, they are found and I can edit the Metadata to match the show.

I found another post on this specific show and tried everything listed to no avail.

I am assuming the scraper can’t find the actual Vietnam in HD which exists on the tmdb under the tv show and movie sections

Running latest version of Infuse pro on an Apple TV. Accessed through an SMB share on my network

If you name the directory for the show “Vietnam in HD 2011”

Then inside a sub directory named “Season 01”

Then name the files" Vietnam in HD 2011 S01E01.mkv" and so on it should work.

You may have to do an edit medata to get the correct one but it will work.

Thank you. That seemed to work.

I set up 2 identical directories as a test, one name Vietnam in HD 2011 and one called Vietnam in HD (2011) note the parentheses in the second example.

I did a refresh of the storage without the directories in them and then moved the directories back into the active storage share.

A new tv series showed up (Keeping up with the Kardashians) and I edited the metadata to the correct show.

It never picked up the directory with the parentheses and curiously the files it did pick up, it removed the 2011 from the displayed filename.

Anyway… Thank you for the help. I tried so many combinations. Thankfully the refresh happens fairly quickly.

Over the years, I’ve had a handful of instances where I encountered the same thing with the parentheses would keep Infuse from finding the right data but never had it miss when I started without them and adding them corrected it so I just standardized on no parentheses for my library.

As to removing the year from the name, that’s the normal and correct thing to do. Unless the year is actually part of the show name it will just be used for matching purposes but not displayed.
