Video Engine Problems

Hi guys, while Infuse has been a charm since the beginning, in the past few updates video playback problems appeared on many many movies.

I would like to request for you guys to roll back the engine.

Thank you.

Can you provide a bit more info on what you are seeing?

Can you try installing today’s 7.3.8 update to see if it helps?

Do these videos contain Atmos audio, by chance?

Hi James, thank you for your response.

The update has solved many issues. Nice job. For now everything works except the following:

I have issues still with this video:

I will see if I come across more and report back yo you.

Thank you very much for the excellent app and your prompt response.

Have a nice day.

PS. I am seeing the screen go black and wide botches with grey squares on that video.

Thank you again.

If this is happening with just a single file, would you be able to upload it so we can review it here?

It is happening on various files and on Apple TV, iPhone 12 Pro. Usually black and White movies.

I have uploaded a split from the movie discussed.

Thank you James.

PS. I may jump the problem frames, so you have to check the time.

Hello James.

I encountered the same issues with another app. I think this is an IOS issue. And maybe an encode issue.

My apologies.

This may help some:

I realized that the posterization and missing frames were due to a corrupted copy process on Mac from SSD to external spinner.

Try the files before copying.

By using a file copier, you can pick an open source, you can solve the problem.

Glad you figured it out!

Is this the thread where you first discussed the problem?

No. That was marked complete. I guess I messed up

I only started that one and this one.

YES.

That is it

Sorry

Not a problem at all, I’ll clean up things a bit so it’s all together.

You’re good.

PS.

Figuring this out took an embarrassing amount of effort. The problem is that we assume the a basic file copy would work.
