Using ChatGPT to generate .strmlnk files for Infuse

I just had this problem myself and solved it with ChatGPT, so here is a short guide that might help:

  1. Ask ChatGPT for the deeplink
Example: Give me the Apple TV+ STRMLNK for “Cliffhanger (1993)”
ChatGPT replies with the exact URL for that title.
  2. Ask ChatGPT to build the files for you
Example: Create the STRMLNK files for these movies: …
ChatGPT creates each .strmlnk, zips them, and provides a download link.
  3. Download the zip, unzip it, and copy the .strmlnk files into any folder Infuse scans.
After Infuse rescans, the titles appear. Press Play and Infuse jumps straight into the streaming app.

That’s all you need—no manual file editing required.

I tried this for Netflix… Chatgpt does exactly what you write, but infuse is doing nothing with the STRMLNK files in any folder. (at least not on my Mac Studio).

Sorry to hear that. I just put the stream link files in the same folder as my mkv files and Infuse shows them as movies along with all the others… I hope that someone else can help you. My setup is Windows 11 with a 12 TB drive for movies…

Well, I did use infuse on my ATV tonite and there it works. So it is not supported for the Mac version of infuse.

Hi,

That’s a brilliant idea !
Works great, thanks for sharing it.

Are the STRMLNK files placed in a folder Infuse is set to look at? For example, the ~/Movies/Infuse folder would be scanned by default.
