Since the User Switching Broken (tvOS 26.4) topic was marked as solved and subsequently closed, and after confirming that the issue hasn’t been fixed in tvOS 27, I’m starting a new thread about user profile switching occasionally (around 20% of the time) failing on Apple TV.
Almost everything mentioned in the last few messages of the original thread still holds true in tvOS 27: when switching to a different profile, there is sometimes a delay of ~10 seconds, with the switch taking around 12 seconds compared to the usual 3 on my ATV 4K 3rd gen. Inevitably (edit: most of the time) after such a long switch, the user profile in Infuse fails to switch to the correct one. The timing between switches doesn’t seem to matter, and using a managed profile or a separate Apple account as a secondary profile doesn’t make a difference either. The majority of failures occur when switching from the main profile to the secondary one.
I’ve tried all the methods of fixing the issue suggested in the original thread, including removing all profiles and adding them back, and even fully resetting the device to factory settings after updating to tvOS 26.6.
