Can we please improve the artwork on the iPhone lock screen, which is square and of the lowest quality possible? I reported this issue more than a year ago, and there has been no update from the support team.

@james Did this ever get looked in to? I noticed today that the Apple TV app shows the poster for what’s playing and it looks much better.

I don’t think this being even looked at, I opened a ticket and still the same square low-quality artwork shows on the lock screen.

But why has this to be an added feature? Most of the video apps such as Netflix, Plex, etc., show the artwork in rectangular format with high quality, and it’s just Infuse that shows some random image in square format.

Agreed, it seems like this would be a relatively simple fix rather than a big change. For Plex users, and presumably wherever else the metadata has been matched, the poster images are already there ready to be used.

The changes here address the artwork used for AirPlay. The Now Playing artwork needs a separate adjustment…which we’re looking into.
