USB WIFI Dongle

I want to use N on my atv, would that be possible with a USB WI-FI dongle?

The built in WiFi card has B/G/N, anything wrong with using that card?

No N on my model, I have the 40gb atv

All AppleTV units (even the 40GB models) are 802.11n capable. That is unless you removed the wifi card to install the Crystal HD card.

you are right, I apologize I thought I had read it did not…

I’m trying to stream AVI’s over wifi and when I did it with the apple tv it wasnt as good as when I stream with the iMac so I thought it was the network differences

Wifi communications to and from my AppleTV were incredibly slow and there is no reason since it's only a few feet from my Linksys router..  I found a wired ethernet connection is very much faster and I can transfer movies in minutes now.  I thought it was just my ATV box but I see similar comments from others on this forum.  Apple should be ashamed of such crappy network performance, or should maybe sued over it.
