I see that I have an update on my inFuse pro from 5.3 to 5.3.1. When I press “update” the update fails. If I delete the app and re-install the new version I get charged, and have to call apple to reverse the charges…
anybody else having this issue?
Infuse is available in 2 different forms - a free app + In-App Purchase, and a standalone paid app. You’ll just want to be sure the one you download is the one you originally purchased.

how can I check? In my purchse tab, there is “update” button. and I have a Pro version. How can I check?
Does it say ‘Infuse Pro’ in the list, or just ‘Infuse’.
Either way, tapping the Update button will update your existing app without you having to pay again. If updating isn’t working, it’s likely related to an App Store issue which can usually be cured by restarting your device.
