Update/refresh bug on Infuse Pro 8

This problem is still present in 8.0.5 …

Thanks, James - But all this has already been tried.
Plex server runs locally on dedicated hardware and all necessary Plex Server ports are open. Furthermore, the Plex Server version has always been latest.

Feel free to write to me how Infuse has problems connecting to the Plex Server from the logs.

Sure. In your report from 10/22 there are a series of “Kunne ikke oprette forbindelse til serveren” (Could not connect to the server) errors when trying to access remote plex services on port 18651.

This may be caused by a configuration issue with the local network or perhaps an internet provider issue.

Thanks for info, James. I’ll reinstall everything and see how it goes, also server. I’ll also check my network config.

Well, I installed Jellyfin on my local Synology today. Kept it all local. Jellyfin had full access to media folders. Eveything in order.
Every thing went fine until I tried marking series episodes as watched - after that Infuse just refused to index the Jellyfin server. This was in Library Mode… In direct mode, everything just seems to work with Jellyfin. - But I really dislike you can’t have a shortcut to like, Movies or Shows, directly on the front page of Infuse. So direct mode is a no go for me.

So - I was wondering if all this indexing trouble lately, giving my recent experience with Infuse and Jellyfin, had something to do with Infuse Library mode?? Just a thought…

EDIT: @james
I did also reinstall Plex Media Server, from fresh, reinstalled Infuse on my devices. The problem is still there on Plex Media Server also. But at least you can(sometimes) force update refreshing of meta data/content in Infuse using Plex Library Mode.

If you’re using Jellyfin 10.10+ you will want to ensure you have InfuseSync 1.5.1 installed. Indexing will failed with older versions installed.

This guide has more info on installing and updating InfuseSync.

InfuseSync 1.5.0 was the latest from the Jellyfin repository.
I have added the new repository with 1.5.1 and will try again.

James, sorry to ping you again, but I made a short video to show the issue to you.

I added a new movie, the movie is fine on Plex, multiple Plex Server refreshs were called, but Infuse 8.0.5 won’t update automatically (direct/library) while opened till I enter any content details and then go back:

One thing to mention is that the movies I browsed on the video are only UNWATCHED ones filtered by Infuse, so maybe just a filter/display bug, but like I said even with direct I face the same problem that doesn’t existed on Infuse 7 at all for me.

Thank you, James.
Jellyfin 10.10.3-20 and InfuseSync 1.5.1.0 running flawlessly on my Synology now.
I mostly still have to manually press the refresh button in Infuse, but else all just works.

Bye bye Plex Media Server - Welcome Jellyfin.

If you still have to manually “press refresh” in Infuse sometimes for the new content appear, imho nothing was fixed, because that was never the case with Infuse 7.

If I click refresh in Infuse manually, Plex always works for me too, but that’s not the point of this topic, or is it!?

Maybe it was not you, but mark “Jellyfin” as a solution is a very questionable move, since a bunch of users use Plex with Plex Plass, and there are other users in this topic using other supported softwares with the same problem.

Hey @andreofgyn
The problem still persists - also in Jellyfin, like it does in Plex, with Library Mode.
I did not mark anything as a solution in this thread. The problem with auto-refreshing is still ongoing - I’ve had it since 8.0 on my Apple devices, everything before that was peachy.

EDIT: Even though I did not mark this as a solution I was somehow able to unmark it as solution, so I did that.

Guy your problem is easy to resolve - you need to delete metadata (settings > general > metadata), then it will load all your files.

Bye!!

Thanks for the late reply?

Unfortunately your “easy fix”, which is something people usually try as the very first thing, solves nothing and the problem still persists.

I’ve gotten used to manually pressing the sync button. Annoying, yes - but it must be a huge problem to fix since it still exists?
Actually I think they stopped trying to fix it.

I also have this issue since a few weeks back at least. I’ve removed all metadata and removed and added back the plex connection without resolving the issue. I’m using direct mode. Happens on my mac, iphone, ipad, appletv. All runnig latest version of OS and app.
