Unable to connect to shared folder

I’m on ATV latest version 18.6 and Infuse 8.2.2 and I cannot use the app at all. It won’t connect to my shared folder, refresh or do anything. It does open, but that’s about it. What should I do? Delete the app and reinstall?

What type of device are you trying to connect to? Have any network settings changed recently?

If you’re able to send in a quick diagnostic report (and post the code here) we can take a deeper look into what may be going on.

Sorry for the late reply, I’m connected to a MacBook Pro (same one I’ve been using since I started using Infuse). After closing the app and re-opening 4-5 times and restarting my Apple TV it eventually started working, but now my SMB share speeds are slow again and I can’t figure out why. Any 4K content I watch with higher bitrates over 50-60mbps are now pausing with the scroll wheel every minute or so. My download speeds are around 400mbps, when I do a speed test in Infuse I’m getting around 60mbps (I was getting 150mpbs or something prior).

Some troubleshooting steps I just took:

Deleted Infuse off my Apple TV and re-downloaded.

Deleted laptop “Share” and re-added

Neither of these seems to have solved the speed problem.

Update: I just plugged in my ethernet cable directly into the MacBook Pro and I’m getting 400mbps+ speeds via SMB. With wifi I’m getting 60mbps, that’s a very big discrepancy. The difference between being able to watch a movie and not. My laptop and hd’s are in an area about 30 feet away so I may not be able to move everything just to get normal functionality back. Is there anything I can do to fix the wireless connection and get speeds over 100mbps?

Are you using the 2.4 band or the 5Ghz band?

5GHz band. SMB via wifi with Infuse has always been a mixed bag and totally unpredictable with my setup for some reason. I just switched back from testing the wired ethernet speed to wifi again and right now it’s testing around 120mbps again, which is great, but I have no idea why. It could go back down to 50-60mbps again tonight or tomorrow and I’ll have no idea why

Another thing that’s been happening for a while now, I’m not sure if any of these things are related, but I will add or delete media, open Infuse and it won’t show up. I’ll hit the rescan circle with the arrow in the upper right hand corner 3-4 times and still nothing. Close the app, reopen the app, it’s as if there’s syncing issues or something. I remember Infuse used to automatically scan for new or deleted media upon opening and be current but now it’s kind of a pain to get any changes to reflect in the app.

How long are you waiting for it to finish? It can take a long time.
