When I add a TV Series from the share, all the series show up in the TV Shows grouping on Infuse. Recently for some reason, even though Infuse can see the share, it is not adding it to the TV Shows grouping. A number of my series are no longer getting added and I have needed to resort to watching the next episodes directly from the favourite folder, which is really inconvenient as the favourites section does not keep up to date with what is next to watch unless you scan every episode for the orange triangle in the top right. Infuse use to add every series I had in the favourites folder. I will attach screenshots of an example. The first photo is of the current list in the TV Shows Main folder, the second (TV Series) is of what is in the Shared Favourites folder, which should be showing in the TV Shows folder.
There is also an issue with the Metadata. For the titles that are not showing correctly, it does not appear to be finding and sorting the series correctly. When going into the Series within favourites, every episode is all jumbled and looks to be using a snippet of the episode as the artwork, the series is not grouping as a whole season, it’s showing as multiple episodes. I use Plex for Metadata fetching as I have 7 TB of Movies and TV Series and it’s just far too much data for the Apple TV to store. The Apple TV is not overloaded either, it’s only using about 2.5 GB of metadata and storage space does not exceed 5 GB on a 64 GB Apple TV. I’m using Infuse Pro 7.8.1 (4924) TV OS 17.6 [21M71]
I don’t have this option available. Infuse fetches all the tv series directly from my server via SMB share, Plex has access to my server directly which runs on a container and downloads the metadata directly onto my server.
The check mark is still there. If it the was removed, there wouldn’t be any TV series menu as that menu with the picture I supplied is the folder of that favourite.
I have researched a bit of the options you told me about and I ended up removing my smb share and added it via Plex server instead. It appears to be much faster finding all the information and it looks to be synchrony great.
@NC_Bullseye I just had one quick question. I currently have my system set up so that I have Movies in one folder and TV Series in another folder. This is also because I have yet to buy a big enough HDD to hold both Movies and TV Shows on the same device. I would like to have it so Plex sees both Movies and TV Shows in seperate locations but merges them together so it plays everything from one single menu allowing easier access to everything, instead of having two seperate menus. Is this at all achievable?
I don’t use Plex (I just use Infuse with an SMB connection to my NAS) so maybe some of the Plex gurus will chime in here and say if it can be done with Plex.
