Mods, not sure if this was covered at some other point but quite honestly, I didn’t feel like searching so, if it was already covered, just delete this thread.
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Anyone who has episodes of the show Tosh.0 (toshpointzero) on their storage drive
THE PROBLEM:
The show “Tosh.0” obviously has a period in its title. This seems to really mess with media player and what happens is that media player displays the list of episodes but the episode titles all read “Tosh.0” instead of the correct episode titles.
THE SOLUTION:
A simple modification to the file name fixes this problem.
ORIGINAL FILE: tosh.0.SxxExx.<episode name>.<file type>
MODIFY TO: tosh0.SxxExx.<episode name>.<file type>
*All you’ve done to modify the file name is remove the period between “tosh” and “0”
I tried renaming the files several different ways but this seems to be the only convention that media player likes.
