I have a VPN account with Tuvpn and am struggling to get this to work on aTV. I think I have followed the instructions correctly and the openvpn files have been transferred into the application resources folder etc.
I have looked at the console log and can see it trying to connect. The first part of the handshake works, I can see an initial VERIFY OK with the providers email etc and then there is a ‘TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur with 60 seconds…’
The only other thing from the log is a warning ‘Note: OpenVPN requires ‘script-security 2’ or higher to call user-defined scripts or executables’.
I can connect to my account with my macbook and ipod on this network.
I decided to have another go at this - and got it working (with TUVPN). I can confirm that Tunnelblick with username/password entered via the GUI does indeed work.
I don’t think I did anything wrong first time around, I think it was more likely related to a conflict between components (either order or the fact I hadn’t updated something) - I am not sure.
