I have a separate Apple TV in the living room used by family members.
Until tonight, the Trakt solution was working perfectly fine to unlock the Pro version of Infuse on that Apple TV.
But suddenly tonight it stopped working. No matter what I tried, each time we started playing something all we got was the screen asking us to subscribe to Infuse Pro.
I tried to logout/login from Trakt on all my other Infuse Pro activated devices, I tried to logout/login from Trakt on the aforementioned family-shared Apple TV in the living room, but nothing worked.
Is family sharing via Trakt deprecated? Please help, how can I unlock Infuse Pro on that family-shared Apple TV?
After some troubleshooting, I could get it to work again this morning.
If anyone with the same problem finds this thread, here’s what worked for me:
Using a browser, log into your Trakt account.
Go to Settings –> Connected Apps.
Find the line with the Infuse logo and press “Revoke Access”.
Open Infuse on one of your devices with a Pro subscription and login to Trakt (the previous step should have logged you out from Trakt automatically).
Wait a few minutes, then open Infuse on the device you want to unlock Infuse Pro. Login to Trakt.
Close Infuse, wait a few minutes, reopen Infuse. Infuse Pro should be unlocked.
I have no idea why I suddenly lost my Pro access in the first place – everything worked great for about 5 months – but those steps seem to have worked for me. Let’s hope it won’t happen again in the future.
