Yes. Hopefully this will get implemented. That’s what I enjoy about Emby/Plex is that theater experience with the trailers and Prerolls.

Is there any update on this? I have a site for prerolls and want to add some custom Plex Prerolls.
Adding prerolls would be HUGE. I’d move our whole family over to Infuse from Plex with that addition.

I’m not sure I understand what this feature is used for.
What’s the purpose of these pre-roll videos?
Do you have a unique pre-roll video for each item in your library, or would this be the same one played before all videos?
Plex will let you have a multiple to choose from. It plays one at random before each movie. It’s not really a necessity, but it IS a nice feature that, IMO, adds value to your viewers. I like to have mine on a rotation, so around holiday times, like Halloween, Thanksgivnig, Chirstmas, etc., users are getting a preroll to match the time of year.

I have a local folder where I downloaded new movie trailers… I would like infuse to automatically and randomly choose one, two or three before the main movie like an experience in the cinema …plex has such options

It will essentially be a random trailer playing before the movie/tv show you’re about to watch. This gives the feeling of being at the cinemas which some people would like.
Each video already has an option to watch a trailer (if available), so it would be nice to be able to watch some trailers of a similar genre to film you’re about to play. I believe Plex already does this.
When you start watching a show in AppleTV+ app it’ll play a trailer of a show you haven’t watched yet. I find this incredibly useful for finding new stuff to watch.
In the case of Infuse it could play a trailer of a new/trending show that hasn’t been added to Infuse yet. Same for movies it could play 1 or 2 trailer of new/upcoming movies before the movie starts.

Please add this! I’ve liked the main post but I want to help bring attention to this issue. I’d be willing to pay a one-time extra fee just to unlock this 
For me, the only thing I miss when using Infuse is Cinema Mode support. You know when you go to the movies, and they play previews of upcoming films that you can get excited about, and maybe have a THX or Dolby “codec intro” that demonstrates the power of the projector or sound quality? Emby has support for playing clips like that automatically before a film if Cinema Mode is enabled (and it will even choose the correct “codec intro” depending on the encoding of the file!). Plex and Jellyfin have features like this too for pre-roll.
Can this feature be added? I know it’s a small thing, but it’s one of those fun features that really adds to the experience of home cinema.

+1 for Jellyfin. Does jellyfin need to support this natively first or can it be played off the back of the Local Intros plugin?
