Top shelf broken since 8.2.2 update

Is the top shelf on the ATV Home Screen broken for you guys too since the 8.2.2 update? For us it‘s not updating anymore and stuck in the pre 8.2.2 state since the update.

Mine seems to be updating ok. Have you tried a restart on the ATV? Maybe even an unplug, wait a minute, and plug it back in then try?

Are you using multiple profiles on the Apple TV?

Due to an Apple bug, the top shelf will currently show items for the Apple TV’s ‘Default’ user.

Yes, multiple profiles on multiple Apple TVs.

On one Apple TV the top shelf is completely empty (logged in as default user). On mine it’s permanently stuck at the pre-8.2.2 state (different user than default).

Alright, I’ll just wait for a fix. :+1:

Infuse not updating now watching Feature on TVOS. the feature where you can see what you just watched outside of the app on the tvos home page doesnt update a few weeks ago its been stuck on the same few movies and tv shows and i cant get it current. I have tried to remove and re add the application played around with multiple settings but noting works. anyone know how to fix this issue?

I moved your post to an already running thread discussing this issue. :+1:

Does this bug affect the top shelf on the Home Screen only or does it also affect the top shelf in the Infuse app? I’m seeing some the same behaviour in the Infuse app when switching profiles and it’s showing the same content for multiple users in my household (from my Default profile). The weird thing is this isn’t happening all the time, sometimes it will update and show the correct user’s in-progress, but this seems to be pretty rare.

This bug wasn’t fixed in tvOS 26.0.1 or 26.1 Beta, was it?

Still not working for me. Even after factory reset.

Is there any way we as users can report this bug to Apple directly? I’m not aware of any other apps implementing this feature so the issue may not be getting much attention with Apple. If we could also report it to Apple somehow as well, it may get a bit more attention and be fixed.

Maybe we could add a toggle to disable the top shelf until the bug’s sorted? It’d look much better to show the Infuse logo wallpaper than a broken shelf, especially since any secondary user clicking something there ends up on a dead link.

There is a workaround to hide the Top Shelf lists on Apple TV and that is to enable parental controls in the Apple TV settings. This has the effect of hiding the Top Shelf items.

Right, I’ll look into that option while we wait for a fix.
