Tone matching for 4K HDR not completly correct

Hi,

I’m using 11.2 beta (last version) and your infuse 5.6.2 with 4k SDR setting on the apple tv and automatic switching for HDR content.

the positive side…it work with 5.6.2. Switching to HDR works great but a minor thing to do…

The blacks are not 100% correct by HDR mapping. It looks like the faults from iOS 11.1 HDR mapping when iOS tried to make HDR to non HDR movies. Grainy dark parts…

Please take a look into it.

Tone matching corrections for 4K HDR movies on SDR 1080p TV

I’m creating a new thread to track this particular issue: Is there an ETA when tone matching will be fixed for 4K HEVC 10bits BT.2020 playing on SDR 1080p TVs? As of Infuse 5.6.2, tone matching is quite wrong, the picture is rendered with compressed dynamic range as if, in RGB terms, everything is squeezed into 128 levels or less for R, G, B, i.e. the movie looks much worse than its standard 1080p equivalent from Blu-ray.
