TMDB poster missing titles

Updated to 8.4.5 and now newly added movies are missing titles!? Example hard rain and good time.

I didn’t change any Settings when updating? I try to edit metadata and it still shows the wrong poster without a title.

Worked perfectly before updating.

Check “Settings > Metadata & Artwork > Prefer Embedded Metadata” and make sure this is off.

If that’s off check to see if there are any graphic files in the same directory as the movie.

It is off. And I don’t use any other files besides the movie file.

Hi, the artwork is all messed up on my Apple TV now. Infuse seems to be trying its hardest to find artwork without the title visible and it looks ridiculous. I didn’t change any settings so I assume this has to do with the update. How do I fix this?

Also, my Sort by resolution section has disappeared and I cannot get it to return.

Can you describe what you seeing or perhaps post a picture or 2?

Also, a number of metadata and artwork settings were added in 8.4 so you can look at adjusting these to suit your needs in Infuse > Settings > Metadata & Artwork.

What is working now is manually refreshing the metadata of each title making sure language is set to Original. It then selects the correct artwork. Refreshing all metadata through the Library menu unfortunately does not work.

Here is an example

Check your setting for “Language > Artwork” Those pic are from the “Not Specified” section on TMDB, if you select “English” that should fix it.

Edit to add, you may have to do an “Edit Metadata” on the ones showing no titles and re select the correct choice to get the poster to update.

I have changed no settings. And always add the tmdb ID. I try manually editing the metadata without success? And I have never had to manually set the metadata when using the tmdb id.

Is this a step backwards?

What do you have set for Metadata Artwork?

Edit to Add:

Infuse release 8.4 added the setting to choose different default languages for metadata and artwork.

Language is set to Auto like usual.

When I manually edit the metadata and type the name of the movie it does show the proper poster. But even if I select it, it won’t change it.

And like I said, I have never had to manually set the metadata before.

my language settings are correct and I have indeed fixed several titles individually. Do I really need to go through hundreds of titles individually to fix this?

Mine has also randomly today started doing this. An TMDB issue do we think?

What is your device language set to and what are the language options in Infuse set to?

I can’t seem to replicate this here. With my device set to English and Infuse’s language settings set to Auto things appear to be working normally.

I haven’t changed anything on mine and upon looking on my iPhone and Apple TV it has done this to most titles now. All language is set to automatic even if I push to English it still does it.

It seems we are all having the issue. So it can’t be user error.

Maybe a tmdb issue? I went to check metadata on another movie and it just pulled the metadata and did the exact same thing.

Removed the title poster as well. And I didn’t even edit it. I just opened the movie to view it and it changed.

Is your device language set to English or something else.

I did not mean to imply you were doing something wrong, but it would be helpful to understand the circumstances that can lead to this behavior occurring.

If you can also send in a report from your device (and post the code here) that could be helpful.

Just tried again. Tapped deep impact to view the synopsis and it pulled the metadata and cleared the title poster and changed the main poster. Definitely not even the right poster without the title as you can look on TMDB.
