This appletv is not eligible for this version, Apple tv 2 5.3 (6105)

hi

 

just bought my apple tv yesterday, check it to be version 5.3 (6105), 720p. However, when i download the latest seas0onpass from this web, I could not create the IPSW. it just give me this error “This appletv is not eligible for this version” Anyone have any idea how to get pass this?

However, I tried right clicking on the “Create IPSW” logo, I could only create the IPSW for 5.2.1. and encounter some critical error later part.

Kinda hopeless now, can any kind soul guide me along?

if you just bought it yesterday it’s likely a gen 3

Dang!
This turned out to be an G3 (Model Number = A1427)

 My friend who wanted me to JB it insisted he bough it before march 2012 so I never suspected a G3.
Trust noone! :)
