yet Infuse thinks (thank you TMDB) it is The Taste (TV Series 2013- ) — The Movie Database (TMDB)
How do I make the distinction between the two?
Related as it was recognized correctly and then TMDB messed it up:
The directory is called Space 1999Space 1999. Yet it is recogtnized as Spaced

yet… when i name the directory The Sandman (2022) it is still not recognized… How shall I name it?
I guess that will suffice for now… When do we have 100 % control of our metadata?
Tomorrow I’ll try and rectify the crap with shows like Game Of thrones that suddenly have their specaisl renumbered, replaced, whatever… I’ll see tomorrow.
It only shows (once again) : 100 % control!!! TMDB cannot be trusted!
Could you provide examples of how you currently have the files named?
When you have a TV series with the same name and year if you get the wrong one you’ll have to do an edit metadata and select the correct one. That correction will be synced to all devices so you only have to do it once.

/Volumes/Entertainment TV (N - Z)/Series/The Sandman (2022)/Season 1/S01E01 - Sleep Of The Just.mp4

I’ve already corrected the metadata, but it would be nice to know how to name so the metadata fetcing is correct. Though I think with The Taste it will be quite difficult as they are both from 2013.
Make it
Space 1999 (1975)/Season 1/Space 1999 (1975) - S01E01 - Breakaway.avi
and
The Sandman (2022)/Season 1/The Sandman (2022) - S01E01 - Sleep Of The Just.mp4
For this, you can now try The Taste [ABC] (2013), with or without the brackets, and it should select the correct one.
