Support for Single Layer Dolby Vision Profile 5?

MrMC supports single layer Dolby Vision Profile 5 any idea when we can expect the same for Infuse Pro?

This would be such a helpful thing to have to since we could use Dolby Vision (Single Layer) Profile 5 files to Calibrate our TV’s. Also, some Dolby Vision test videos are also Single Layer Profile 5 so we could use them as tests.

I love Infuse Pro and have been enjoying it for a while now but after upgrading to a Sony HDR / DV UHD TV I found out about it not supporting DV. I don’t care if you get Dual Layer working or not, but I would fully expect SL Profile 5 would be supported seeing as it’s supported on the ATV 4K on an API level.

Again thank you for all the hard work done on Infuse Pro I love this app hopefully SL DV Profile support is not far off.

This is on our radar to look into, and is something we hope to have available in a future update.

However, to be honest, it’s been a relatively low-priority since the real world use cases for single layer DV (outside of streaming apps like iTunes, Netflix, etc…) are pretty limited.

Thank you very much for the reply. The API is in tvOS SDK last I checked and exposes itself to developers. Any progress made on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Also, when it comes to remuxing DL DV to SL DV people have already got sample files they have gotten working. It’s only a matter of time before the process is streamlined and deployed.

We have added Dolby Vision support for the upcoming 6.1.4 release.

If you’re interested in trying a beta early, please let me know.

True profile 5 bitstream decoded correctly?

Looks good here.

If that clip plays back in correct color, then Infuse may be the first one to support true single layer Dolby Vision playback.

Neat!

With any luck, 6.1.4 will be live on the App Store very soon.

Today’s 6.1.4 update adds support for single-layer Dolby Vision.

Enjoy!

Is it current? I just installed MRMC lite but on DV
