I is not uncommon that TMDB lists a single episode that was originally aired in two or even more parts with own leading and ending titles. Could you add support for this? A {Part X} tag would make sense the most. Note that if you manage to add other custom tags support for episodes, it would be really great. But at least multiple parts support is a must have since there is no reasonable way to name the files and organize it now.
Related to the above, I think that there is a bug, because if you have several different files. like two parts, that have metadata of the same episode, the continue playback and watch status is incorrectly shared - it should be tracked per the file, not per the episode. This should be definitely fixed soon because it is very confusing that you start watching part 1 in one file, but it starts showing the same watched time also in part 2 in the other file.
Thank you for considering adding/fixing the above.
You can see that first 3 episodes were aired as 6 parts, e.g. 3 two-part episodes. And all have leading titles telling Part 1/2 and ending titles with End of Part 1/2 - so clearly both versions exist but only the single-part episodes are listed by TMDB.
I guess that it may depend on platform and region, but it is really not that uncommon that there are TV versions of a show or even e movie as part 1&2 while TMDB lists only a single episode.
For movies, that’s at least solvable via custom tags. Again, an example:
To add to that, I saw also different versions of the same episode, kind of a director’s cut of an episode, I think that it was one episode from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles but I’d have to check because I don’t remember which one was that.
Found the extended episode. It’s The Demon Hand from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I’ve checked TMDB and they’ve listed only the original one and the extended is not even in bonuses.
original version runtime 43 min - listed by TMDB
extended version runtime 52 min
I guess this could be handed by putting it to bonuses, but again, having option to just tag a different episode version would be really nice.
hi again, it hide my posts and I have no clue how to unhide them so I will re-post it here without the links
