Hello all! I have seen a few mentions of this around the forums, but was wondering if anyone had a best practice around organizing all the Looney Tunes cartoons contained in the Collector’s Vault. They are showing up in my Movies section and I’d prefer they not do that. Thanks in advance!
Sorry to say but it looks like it’s going to be a collection of short movies. That is the way they originally aired, as short movies.
Per the description on the disc cover…
Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault is a series of 2-disc Blu-rays from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Warner Archive division collecting various Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies theatrical animated short subjects from Warner Bros. Cartoons.
If you want to have these show correctly you’ll have to split them into individual short movies and use the correct name and year of release.
I know it’s a pain but this is like when you buy a compilation disc of tv shows or movie series. They need to be seperate files.
If you need help in naming the files you can post the list here or look them up on TMDB here.
What I’ve done is just add all the shows to a collection in infuse based on the decade. Then they just show up once in most places.
Thanks! This is great. I’m still figuring out “collection” functionality, but if they will only show up there, super. I did just figure out that some missing thumbnails were from the TVDB “no metadata” thumbnail being in webp format. Appreciate the help!
Just playing around with mine. Unfortunately they will still show up individually if you search by name, by release date, unwatched, etc.
I am using an AppleTV and if I just name them “incorrectly” so that it fails to grab the metadata but sort of in a TV format, it throws them all in the “other” bucket and nowhere else and I’m honestly fine with that. ![]()
