success 5.1 downgrade to 4.4.2 and upgrade to 4.4.4 untethered jailbreak

i been waiting long time since my mistake to upgrade to 5.1 without save any shh

 

 

 

 

just to share and  thank you all member for sharing info

 

  1. follow this post instruction  http://forum.firecore.com/topic/7455 to downgrade 5.1 to 4.42

  2. after finish downgrade 4.4.2  and do tethered boot using Seas0nPass

  3. install atv2 flash ( black ver 1.4 ) it a must we need atv flash to save 4.4.4 Firmware Signatures

here is the short story

after i start backup firmware it show 4.4.4 it was a plus plus 0_0 means we have chances to go back 4.4.4

 ( With aTV Flash (black) installed, navigate to the Maintenance –> Settings –> Manage Backups menu

  1. download latest Seas0nPass right click choose 4.4.4 and follow all instruction.

( during upgrade to 4.4.4 i have no erro msg at all )

5) you are back on  4.4.4 untethered jailbreak :

it means you have 4.4.4 blobs saved by atv flash, man. Cong to you though.

yes correct but when am on 5.1 didn’t backup any firmware signatures or shsh  at all^^

 

so this are plus using atv flash ^^

I get in to ATV2 and go to Manager Backups Menu. I get lost from there. Can you give me intruction step by step. Thanks

Step 1: With aTV Flash (black) installed, navigate to the Maintenance –> Settings –> Manage Backups menu.

Step 2: Select the ‘Backup My Firmware’ option.

Step 3: Firmware signatures will be saved, and a list of previously saved signatures will appear below. (Note: firmware signatures are also saved automatically when installing or updating the Maintenance item)

Step 1: Connect AppleTV via USB

Step 2: Launch Seas0nPass

Step 2: Right-click the ‘Create IPSW’ button and select your desired version.

Step 2: Seas0nPass will handle fetching saved signatures and restoring the firmware automatically.

Thanks. I will try it. One more question. When i connected USB to ATV2, this time is connect Power cable too?

after you backup your 4.4.4

unplug everything no worry about 4.4.2  tethered boot

now plug in ur atv2 usb to pc (don’t need power cable)

and start Seas0nPass step

Thanks. I will try it. I have questions. When i connected USB to ATV2, this time is connect Power cable too?. What seasonpass version did you jailbrake it. It auto go to Itune and get error . No luck.

So without having saved your blobs at 4.4.4 you were able
To use this method and now have an untetheted jailbreak

Yes, I use aTV Flash (Back) and  backup my old firmware 4.4.2. But, I can not use TinyUmbrella. I means, I use this soft, it is have nothing on there. I can not go through on TinyUmbrella. I give up. Sad. Thanks anyway.

For the hell of it I updated to 5.1 and tried this method and it worked flawlessly. Thanks!

I try to backup like this, but it just have IOS 5.0 9B179B (latest)

 

So it mean if you have use atv flash before, you have backuped one time on the past too, then you upload to 5.1 and go back, so signatures still there. Not me, im update from 4.4.4 (i buy new apple tv, never jailbrecking) then upload to 5.1 directly. Maybe it is not possible for me to update to 4.4.4?

so i hava been do with your step,can success down5.0 to 4.4.2,but when up to 4.4.4 ituns show the error 1600,1602,1604,the device always in duf mod can’t exit;when i use iFaith-v1.4.2 to export the shsh,can see the device been in 4.4.4,just the duf mod can’t exit

Can you explain deep details on step #3. Please!. Or You can writing Intruction Step by Step. I tried to many ways to upgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 without luck. Thanks

For those who succeeded, did you get your Apple TV 2 used?  If so, is it possible that the previous owner uploaded your 4.4.4 shsh codes to Cydia without your knowledge?  It seems odd that your 4.4.4 shsh blobs all of a sudden appeared.  Thanks.
