Stuttering....the fix?

So, my ATV never did this…then I updated not long after I got the unit working…ever since then, I get fairly random stuttering…some files its once every couple minutes, some as bad as once ever minute or less…

I tried multiple USB cables…

I know the files are fine, as they play fine on the computer I DL them from…

I know the copy process to the USB drive is fine (using filezilla ftp), as if I connect the USB drive to my laptop, the play back with vlc media player is fine.

I am about on my last legs with the appletv…

What type of files are you playing when this issue occurs?

It does it on everything, from avi to mp4…doesn’t seem to matter which type of or the conversion quality…some stall more than others, but I have never really paid attention on which…it does it on all of them.

Is the 'Apple H.264' item (located in Maintenance --> Settings) enabled or disabled?

By chance have you tried playing the same file from the AppleTV internal drive?

It’s currently disabled, though I’ve tried it both ways…

I have not tried playing stuff from the internal drive, as I did not know you could even place them on the internal drive without putting them in itunes…how do you do it?
