Streaming from FTP server not working in 8.5.2

After updating Infuse to 8.5.2, playback stopped working completely for me.

Every movie now fails with:

“The operation could not be completed. (com.firecore.media.player error 1.)”

This happens on both Apple TV and iPhone, and both devices started showing the exact same error immediately after updating to 8.5.2.

The network connection itself appears fine — Infuse Speed Test works normally and the files are accessible, but actual playback fails on every movie I have tested.

Everything was working normally before the update.

Great! Until 8.5.3 comes through, as a quick workaround, you can simply download a few episodes to your device for offline viewing. It works perfectly and saves you from having to make any changes to your FTP server settings in the meantime!

This has been fixed in 8.5.3 which was just approved and is now available on the App Store! :raising_hands:

Latest update broke sftp getting error code 1 real short videos will play

Did you double check that you’re running 8.5.3?

If so, maybe a restart of the device would help.
